Fishing Program

  • The dorado is a freshwater fish species from South America, valued for its aggressive and courageous nature in sport fishing. Recognized for its golden coloration and impressive size, it can grow over one meter in length and weigh more than 30 kilograms. Its capture requires skill and patience due to its explosive strikes and ability to easily escape, making dorado fishing a challenging and exciting experience for anglers.

  • The fishing day starts with a delicious breakfast at 6:30 AM. Then, the fishermen head out to fish until 11:30 AM, with some snacks and cold beverages available during the activity.

We'll return for lunch at 11:45 AM, where we'll serve some snacks, fine wines, and other beverages, followed by a lunch with our exclusive menu. Lunch will consist of an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert.

After lunch, we suggest a rest until 3:00 PM when we prepare to go fishing again. During this period, we'll fish until the sun sets, usually around 6:45 PM, and then return to the lodge for our dinner, which is typically served at 8:30 PM.

  • For dorado fishing in Esteros del Iberá, we recommend the following equipment:

    - Fly fishing rods size 6 to 8

    - Tropical Lines of all types: floating, intermediate, and sinking.

    - Most commonly used flies are mice and crickets, poppers, and large weighted Andean flies.

Before your trip, you will receive a comprehensive travel guide containing all the information and equipment recommendations you need.
